Talking Book Library - Ordering Books

Online Catalog:

http://webopac.klas.com/flbtbl

Anyone can visit the website to search the catalog of available materials. Registered Florida customers can also place orders for books at the website. To order online, you must first contact us to set up a username and password.

Call us at (727) 441-9958 or (within 941 area code) toll-free at (866) 619-9568 or via email Abby asheehan@pplc.us or Juliet jrelyea@pplc.us.

Braille and Audio Reading Downloads (BARD): Through this service, our patrons can download nearly all of our materials. Audio books and magazines can be downloaded and loaded onto a flash drive and then played on the NLS provided digital talking book player. Braille materials can be downloaded for use with a refreshable Braille display. BARD is now available for iOS devices. Patrons can download the BARD Mobile app from the Apple App Store for free and listen to audio materials on their iOS device (i.e. iPad or iPhone). Click here https://nlsbard.loc.gov/fl1m/ to access the BARD website.

Catalogs and Bibliographies: Catalogs are mailed out bimonthly to inform patrons about new books and magazines added to the collection. These catalogs can be used to select and order reading materials. Recorded book customers usually receive Talking Book Topics, while Braille readers most often subscribe to Braille Book Review.
