Services provided:

  • Basic Literacy for Americans needing help in enhancing their reading and writing abilities.
  • ESL English for speakers of other languages needing help in speaking, reading and writing English as well as understanding American culture.

Literacy Volunteer Tutor Training:
Tutors are taught by certified trainers in the Laubach Literacy Action Training System and are certified before teaching. All training is conducted at the Dunedin Public Library and without charge.

Comments:
All tutoring is free and confidential. Tutor training is held twice a year, at Dunedin Public Library (January & September) and at the Largo Public Library (May and November). All training and tutoring is free of charge. To register as a student or to take classes to become a tutor, please call Vicki Vinour at 298-3088 ext. 242.
